Women's Health Account Specialist - Toronto West (12 month contract)

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Women’s Health Account Specialist - Toronto West, are to:


The Women’s Health Account Specialist (WHAS) is responsible for achieving sales targets based on a sound business plan and excellent execution. In addition, the WHAS will develop and implement customer-focused initiatives using an account planning approach to build Bayer’s leadership in Women’s Health. This will be achieved through a strong entrepreneurial focus in alignment with the marketing direction.


  • Expand the OBGYN/GP audience and increase engagement in prescribing and inserting intrauterine contraception, support pain management for endometriosis
  • Analyze business environment to develop, then execute, territory and account specific business plans
  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders in the territory (OBGYNS, GPs, NPs, Specialists, and other HCPs)
  • Map stakeholders within communities to identify decision makers and influencers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Build strategic and territory specific account plans incorporating input from sales trends and stakeholder needs
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement solutions that improve patient outcomes
  • Conduct CHE and other learning events to the referral audience, to improve insertion wait times and awareness of unintended pregnancies
  • Strategically invest and track corresponding results
  • Adhere to all requirements and Code of Conduct as directed by Rx&D and Bayer policy guidelines

Who you are

  • University degree: Minimum, 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience. Experience in Women’s Health a strong asset
  • Strong business acumen. Able to assess market, draw insights and make decisions accordingly, leveraging an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong key account management, project management, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the local healthcare systems, including provincial remuneration
  • Superior competencies in relationship building, networking, problem solving, impact and influence across stakeholders
  • Positive and winning attitude; an active team player in a cross-functional team, with excellent collaboration and communication, demonstrating a strong learning agility
  • Continually seeks feedback from peers to improve business outcomes
  • High level of business integrity and ethics
  • Must be willing to travel throughout assigned territory and other areas as required
