Trade Analyst

Your tasks and responsibilities

 

1. Trade data and analytics (Tableau and Excel)
Create platform to drive fact-based decisions for Trade and other departments at Bayer, to determine strategic opportunities, track product demand and inventory. Includes:
o Trade data / Data Lake (obtaining data, integrity, Lake population)
o Trade dashboards
o Creating standard reports (new product, inventory, demand, etc.)
o Ad hoc analytics
o Brand tracking (ie. Eylea)
o Year-end tracking
o Trade Strategy annual report creation, analytics and insight-generation

2. Established brand forecasting
Develop forecast process/model for established brands. Includes:
o Ongoing management of established brand forecasts with internal stakeholders
o Process improvement and updates to model and forecasting process

3. Trade operations and customers (small and non-strategic)
Ensure product is available to Bayer patients through the management of daily Trade operations activities and non-strategic customer management. Includes:
o Order to cash process
o Bill-back management (link to customer distribution and pricing)
o Communication of product changes, product launches, pricing adjustments, etc. to customers
o GPO customer an contract relationship management
o Build and conduct customer business reviews: review customer performance and areas of opportunity; risk; identify innovation opportunities; deliver insights back to internal stakeholders as required.
o Liaising with Corporate functions ie Customer Service, Credit, and Logistics in the management of wholesale and retail chain business issues.
o Supervise implementation of all changes in GS1 software for ECCNet uploading to ensure accurate product listings nationally

4. Trade projects
Lead Trade projects with the objective of developing insights to drive topline revenue and/or identifying and implementing continual process improvements aligned to Bayer objectives. Develop business case as required. Possible 2019 projects include:
o Digital opportunities – evaluate, implement, measure
o Policy and related process reviews – drive efficiencies with measurable results
o Customer strategy (direct vs. indirect)
o Established brand lifecycle evaluation

 

Skills:
o Minimum 3 years in a market/sales/trade analyst role (i.e. sales planner, buyer, category manager, financial analyst)
o Experience with distribution, operations, supply chain and/or channel management
o Experience in a customer-facing or customer-interaction role
o Ability to successfully collaborate with external customers and stakeholders and internal departments (Marketing, IT, Finance, QA, Customer Service, A/R, Logistics)
o Ability to influence without authority
o Advanced analytical skills required

Education:
o University degree required
