Sr Market Access Strategist
Your tasks and responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies to optimize public and private reimbursement (time to listing, breadth of coverage) for assigned products
Responsible for developing cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact analyses, real-world evidence generation plans (including execution of said plans) to ensure that the value proposition for assigned products is optimized.
Partner with Payer-interfacing team (i.e. market access and gov affairs field team) to drive the implementation of reimbursement and negotiation strategies.
Develop and implement reimbursement/PLA negotiation strategies that optimize reimbursement of assigned products with pCPA, provincial/federal/territorial plans, and private insurers and actively monitor existing product listing agreements to ensure continued optimized reimbursement
Responsible for ensuring applicable payer (e.g. CDR/pCODR" and INESSS, Ontario, Quebec.) guidelines are followed, and appropriate scientific and health economic information is prepared and submitted to payers in a timely fashion.
Develop and execute drug reimbursement advocacy strategies to optimize patient access.
Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with payer-influencing key opinion leaders (HTA, influential clinical experts, patient groups/advocacy)
Execute/participate in internal processes for launch and growth products (e.g. clinical development plan, product labeling, KOL development, forecasting, brand planning) to ensure that Canadian market access needs are incorporated into launch and growth strategies to optimize revenue and profit. This would also include: - Acting as a core member of cross-functional brand team - provide input/collaborate on pricing recommendations - consultation into brand defense teams Influence and shape eMAST work product: function as local reimbursement expert on local/regional/global cross-functional teams for assigned products (i.e. GMACs eMAST teams). Responsible for influencing regional/global strategy and providing guidance on current Canadian reimbursement requirements.
Who you are
Minimum 7 years health care industry experience, including 4+ years experience within market access or equivalent.
Advanced knowledge/expertise with health technology assessment and health economic and outcomes research methodology
Experience/expertise with public and private payer reimbursement
Demonstrated success securing reimbursement of branded pharmaceuticals, preferably in Canada
Demonstrated success negotiating product listing agreements, preferably in Canada
Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical sector with an emphasis on internal processes (marketing, regulatory, clinical, reimbursement) linked to advanced understanding of the external market access/reimbursement environment
Proven track record of strategic thinking and execution
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience managing third-party vendors
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills– ability to effectively interface with Cross-functional team members to drive towards common objectives
High degree of initiative and sense of urgency
